We can take you sea angling, diving, wreck fishing or for an enjoyable party trip from Brighton Marina. In 1996 we launched Girl Gray. She has comfort, speed, functionality and, above all, safety. We are rigged to take disabled and wheelchairs. SMS is a family business and was founded in 1973 to offer a top of the range service to those going to sea from Brighton Marina, an all tide port, for pleasure, leisure or work. Girl Gray is also a licensed workboat.
Our normal dive plan is a "deep" dive on a wreck at slack water followed by a drift dive on a reef during the tide. You choose the wreck in relation to depth and your divers experience - mid Channel to inshore. We can send you data on a selection of wrecks to help you plan in advance. If you are looking for a different day, a training session for instance, then we can easily meet your requirements.
A days diving, including a wreck within 15 nautical miles of Brighton, is £315 for the boat at week ends and £250 mid week. We cannot offer half days but we can offer a short mid week evening dive during the Summer from about 1700 for £50 per hour. We ask for a deposit of £50 to confirm a booking. If the weather is foul on the day this can be refunded or transferred to another date as you prefer.
Skipper: Mike Snelling has been working out of Brighton for over 20 years and, as a former test pilot, is well versed in using all the modern electronics necessary for a successful day at sea. Founder member and current Chairman of the NFCS.
Purser: Mary Snelling makes sure that all the admin gets done right first time - as an ex Senior Air Traffic Control Officer she can sort the priorities.

Indigo Charters welcomes you to the best of UK wreck and reef diving from Spartacus, based at Brighton Marina, East Sussex.
This fast 10.4m boat covers the South Coast from Dungeness to the Isle of Wight out to mid-channel and beyond. Tim Bennetto, the skipper-proprietor and former owner of diveboats Polaris and Cirrus, has spent the last 20 years diving both commercially and as a BSAC member. During this time hundreds of wrecks have been researched and surveyed, accumulating a vast local knowledge. Tim holds an RYA Yachtmaster Offshore(Power) Certificate as required by the MCA.
